Here are some facts about Russia! Did you know that Russia is almost bigger than Pluto. Russia is 6.602 million square miles. 77% of Russia is actually Siberia.  Also in 1867 the U.S bought Alaska from Russia for 7.2 million dollars. Russia shares boarders with many country’s including China, Ukraine, North Korea, and Norway. 143 million people were estimated to have been living in Russia at the start of 2013. The capital city in Russia is Moscow larger than other city’s including Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, and Novosibirsk. The currency or money in Russia is called ruble. Ice hokey, soccer, and basketball are some of the popular sports in Russia. Russia is so much fun to learn about!
